BACKGROUND
Amar Bedi is a third-generation South Asian actor and storyteller born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. Recently graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Cincinnati—where he consistently earned his name on the Dean’s List—Amar brings a unique blend of discipline, cultural perspective, and creativity to his work.
Amar’s journey is defined by a dual passion for acting and screenwriting. Professionally, he’s worked with Curiosity Entertainment in Los Angeles. In this role, he contributed to a wide slate of projects, including serving as a producer for the iHeartRadio series Curiosity Storyteller Studio. With one completed screenplay and another in development, Amar continues to shape stories that reflect his background.
His training includes mentorship under CSA Casting Director Wendy Kurtzman at UCLA, as well as some formal performance education through Cincinnati’s College-Conservatory of Music (CCM). Whether on screen or behind the scenes, Amar remains committed to using storytelling as a vehicle for great storytelling that creates an impact
EXPERTISE
Amar Bedi is a dedicated actor whose early steps in the industry reflect both passion and promise. He appeared in WATCH, a short film that earned a Best Ensemble Cast nomination at the Indie Shorts Festival in LA. In DON’T DRINK THAT!, a recent comedy short, Amar took on a leading role that’s been gaining traction quickly. While still early in his career, these opportunities have allowed him to grow, learn, and keep sharpening his craft.
Amar’s interest in storytelling goes beyond acting. He previously worked with Curiosity Entertainment, where he supported the development of film, television, and podcast projects. In addition to his role as Program Manager and New Ventures Coordinator, he explored new creative avenues and helped bring fresh voices to the forefront.
He also produced the iHeartRadio series Curiosity Storyteller Studio and developed his original screenplay, Eleven White Roses, a personal and emotionally grounded feature that reflects the kind of stories he hopes to tell more of—both in front of and behind the camera.
