In the aftermath of 9/11, a second-generation Sikh-American, Sai, decides to enlist in the U.S. military, creating a rift with his strict grandfather, who resents the country that betrayed him and his people. As Sai faces never before seen obstacles, unbeknownst to him,  he also wrestles with his cultural identity. His bond with his family is tested by the weight of their shared history and the sacrifices they make for a country they once struggled to call home.
